The SDGs Design International Awards, aims to discover creative ideas from young people and utilize them for building a sustainable society.
Since its establishment in 2019, the award has been held annually, and this year marks its 8th edition.

About the SDGs Design
International Awards
Global society is increasingly expecting great things from design. Motivated by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we’re seeing efforts all over the world to solve problems seemingly unrelated to design like hunger, poverty, and inadequate food supply.
Design’s role has moved beyond just the use of colors and shapes.
Design offers an effective way to solve society’s problems.
These awards recognize and encourage students with great potential to change society. They aim to share brave new solutions widely around the world, serving as a driving force to improve our future society. We look forward to many students contributing their ideas, and we hope for generous support and sponsorship of these awards.

Let’s Create “Sustainable and Inclusive Future”
Designing a Sustainable and Inclusive Future
Resilient Cities,
Communities and Inclusive Well-being
This theme includes disaster resilience, community co-creation, universal design, aging society, multicultural inclusion, and sustainable community development.
Sustainable Green Design and Climate Action
This theme connects cities, communities, and natural environments, including topics such as circular society, decarbonization, green infrastructure, biodiversity, and sustainable lifestyles.
Blue Sustainability: Oceans,
Water and Future Ecology
This theme covers marine environments, water resources, coastal regions, ecosystem conservation, sustainable tourism, and circular lifestyles.
Others
Participants are welcome to propose other related topics freely.

Eligibility
Students currently enrolled in universities, graduate schools, vocational institutions, or high schools worldwide who are interested in design (including working students)
Students from non-design disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
